Viewing 3 Launcher Sections side by side.

The accident occured at this end of the handling rails.

Below: Crater left by a warhead explosion - also visible at the left edge of the picture to the right.

Below right: Remains of an Ajax missile with a launcher in the background.
Above:  Viewing the elevator mounted launcher from the front.  The launcher is partly up, the missile handling rail is draped from the front of the launcher and the booster rocket case is at the rear nearly vertical.

Above right:  The same elevator mounted launcher from the opposite side - looking to the front.  Note the open escape hatch in the upper mid part of the picture.

Right:  View from the rear of the next launcher (#3) toward the elevator mounted launcher.  A burned out booster rocket is on the ground, and empty handling rail is visible between launcher #3 and the elevator.

Left:  View from the front of the elevator mounted launcher toward the missile assembly building.  The elevator control box is on the lower right.  The launcher is to the right - but out of the picture.  An empty missile handling rail is visible between the elevator and launcher #2.

A vehicle is visible between launcher #2 and the assembly building.  This is probably the vehicle used by the crew making modifications to the missiles.

The missile assembly building is visible in the upper left just to the right of the revetment mound.

Above:  To the left of the missile assembly building is the generator building.  You can barely make out the roof line of the generator building between the missile assembly building and the revetment burm.  There appears to be two trees visible in front of the generator building.

Right:  A closer view of the side of the missile assembly building.  The left side entrance door has been blown inward.  The right side entrance door has been damaged.
Left:  This is a front view of the generator building.  On the left edge of the picture the missile assembly building is barely visible.  The generator building is farther from the accident site than the assembly building.  The damage to this building is visible at the entrance doors and roof front.
